Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 11, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ViteQR, a QR code creation tool operated by TapVelocity. By using ViteQR, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
ViteQR provides a browser-based tool for creating, styling, previewing, and exporting QR codes. The service is intended for personal, professional, and commercial use without requiring an account.
ViteQR creates static QR codes. The information you encode is placed directly into the QR code output, so generated codes do not depend on ViteQR to keep functioning after you export them.
3. Browser-Local QR Generation
ViteQR is designed to generate QR codes locally in your browser. The content you type into the generator, such as URLs, text, contact details, or Wi-Fi information, is processed on your device for QR code creation.
When you export a QR code, ViteQR may send anonymous export metadata to TapVelocity, such as the export format, QR code data type, generated QR version and module count, and bounded design or export settings. This export metadata does not include the content you typed into the generator, logo text, uploaded logo image data, or logo filename. TapVelocity does not store the raw IP address or raw User-Agent for these export statistics, as described in the ViteQR Privacy Policy.
Depending on how the site is hosted or maintained, ordinary technical data such as server logs, security logs, or analytics may be collected when you visit the website. Any privacy-related details should be read together with the ViteQR Privacy Policy.
The browser-local QR generation model does not apply to messages you submit through the Contact page. Contact form submissions are sent to TapVelocity through a third-party form processor as described in the ViteQR Privacy Policy.
4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you enter into ViteQR, including QR code content and messages submitted through the contact form, and for how you use any QR codes you create. You agree not to use ViteQR to create, submit, or distribute content or QR codes that:
- violate any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right;
- contain, link to, or encode fraudulent, misleading, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful content;
- support phishing, malware distribution, spam, credential harvesting, impersonation, or other deceptive activity;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights;
- interfere with, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to ViteQR or related systems.
You are also responsible for testing QR codes before printing, publishing, distributing, or relying on them in production materials.
The contact form is intended for general questions, bug reports, product feedback, support requests, business inquiries, and legal or privacy requests. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, medical, legal, security, credential, payment-card, or confidential business information through the contact form unless it is necessary for your request.
5. Rights to Generated QR Codes
As between you and TapVelocity, you keep the rights to the content you encode and to the QR code files you generate with ViteQR, subject to any rights held by others in the content, logos, images, names, or links you choose to use.
TapVelocity does not claim ownership of your generated QR code exports. You may use those exports for personal or commercial purposes, provided your use complies with these Terms and applicable law.
6. ViteQR Materials
ViteQR, including its name, interface, visual design, branding, text, source code, and other service materials, is owned by TapVelocity or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of ViteQR or permission to copy, resell, rebrand, or operate a competing service using ViteQR materials unless TapVelocity separately allows it in writing.
7. Availability and Changes
ViteQR is provided as a convenient tool, but TapVelocity may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also change export options, styling controls, supported content types, or other features as the product evolves.
8. No Professional Advice
ViteQR does not provide legal, security, compliance, marketing, accessibility, or technical advice. You should make your own decisions about whether a QR code, encoded destination, design, or distribution method is appropriate for your use case.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
ViteQR is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TapVelocity disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.
TapVelocity does not guarantee that QR codes will scan successfully in every environment, device, scanner, print process, material, size, lighting condition, or design configuration.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TapVelocity will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of ViteQR or any QR code you create with it.
Where liability cannot be excluded, TapVelocity's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TapVelocity from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of your use of ViteQR, your generated QR codes, your encoded content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
12. Updates to These Terms
TapVelocity may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of ViteQR after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where TapVelocity operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts or forums for that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the ViteQR Contact page.
